Handling Life’s Challenges: Part 1. – Dr. Paul Enenche

1st Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

What do you do to handle the challenges of Life? Thinking of perennial problems that some people have, problems that seems like fasting and prayers has not yet worked and one begins to wonder, what do I DO to handle perennial challenges, recurrent challenges, intractable challenges?

The lord has revealed via His word, seven things or ways that we can apply in handling life’s Challenges.

1) Hand Over all your worries to God: Whether it is worry about getting married, or worry about getting a child, or financial worries, or worry about getting admission or anything under heaven, cast all your cares upon Him for He Cares for you. “God does not start working, until man stops worrying,” because worrying is a proof of lack of Faith and His Word says, without Faith it is impossible to please God. Hand it over to God absolutely, and the proof that you have handed it over to God is that you have stopped worrying. Anything you worry about is still in your own hands, it is still under your own control. The day you stop worrying, that day God starts working and every time worrying stops, Praise starts. The proof also that your worrying has ended is that your praise has started.  Whatever you have no power to handle, is safer in the Hands of God. 

2) Live in His Presence; live your life in the presence of God. The Word says in 

Psalms 16:11  “Thou will show me the path of Life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”

“The presence of God is the cure for the pressures of life.” How do you maintain the presence of God? By a life of humility, by a life of Holiness, by a life of Prayer, by a life of worship. A proud person can never attract the presence of God. A sinner can never attract the presence of God. Take example of a person who comes to church for prayers and then after, goes back to womanizing, telling lies, forging signatures, sleeping with another woman’s husband etc. when such is a lifestyle, God can never be found near such a life. The presence of God requires Humility, Holiness, a life of worship and prayers. Live in the consciousness of the nearness of God. There is not a problem that can survive in the presence of God. You cannot establish such a relationship with God, and the demons will be feeding you in the dreams of the night. You cannot establish such a relationship with God and in your work place or office there will be a pain in the back, or you don’t have favor to be promoted, impossible. Live in the presence of God.

3) Continue to seek for light in the Word: you want to handle life’s challenges, continue to seek for light in the word of God. Don’t be tired of searching until you find. “the most authentic solution to darkness is light” whether it is the darkness of satanic attack, witchcraft, sin, failure, poverty, depression, the most authentic solution is Light and that light is the word of God. 

John 1:1-5 in the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in darkness, but the darkness understood it not. 

When you keep on searching and asking God for just one light with an open heart and desperately, all of a sudden, the light shines and then darkness disappears. “When the light comes, the night must go.” The arrival of the light is the end of the night. It is important to note that, the Light of the word of God, is the fuel of Faith. The more light you have from the word of God, the stronger your faith and the stronger your faith, the more easily won the fight…. To be continued shortly...
