And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and SAID unto the SEA, PEACE BE
STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm – Mark 4:39
From the above scripture we see
that, Jesus did not speak to the devil but to the Sea, “Peace be still” that is
why David Oyedepo said, When God speaks,
everything and everyone hears. It is
not important what the situation or the sea in your life looks like, it is time
to rebuke them saying Peace be still. Every storm has ears to hear and a mind
to understand and recognize the authority behind the voice that is speaking.
Jesus spoke directly to the situation in front of Him, because He believed that
the sea is not deaf. No wonder He, Jesus also taught us in Mark 11, to address our mountains, not the devil not even God. We
are to address the issues, the contrary situations and circumstances because,
barrenness has ears to hear, confusion and lack also have ears, Failure and
stagnation has brains to understand the authority of the voice spoken by a
heart that understands the divine nature..
Using the Tongue
The storms of life do not obey an
authority that is hidden in the heart of a man but that which is spoken out. From
the above scripture we also see that Jesus, SAID unto the sea, peace be still. In science we were told that for
every action there must be an equal and opposite reaction. The actions we take
against the storms of life are the words we speak. The scriptures tell us in
Proverbs 18:21, that the power of life and death, lie in your tongues. Also in
the Book of Psalms 91:2
“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my
fortress, my God in whom I trust”
What then happens after you Say of the Lord (the word)?
Vs 3: Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare…
Vs 4: He will cover you with His feathers….
Vs 5: You will not fear the terror of the night nor the
arrows that flies by day…
Vs 6: Nor the pestilence that stalk in the darkness…
Vs 7: A thousand (Including the Storms) will fall at your
side, Ten thousand at your right side (Including the sea)…
Vs 8: You will only observe the with your eyes and see the
punishment of the wicked..
